I pass by this statue almost daily, and today, I stopped to read a few of the quotes, which were all written about Granada. I love this one, from Henry David Inglis' "Spain in 1830": "I have never seen anything more wonderful than the sunset that surrounds the city, nor anything more perfect than the light of the moon developing over its convents and its towers, or the neighboring heights of the mountains dressed in snow."
