Today is a holiday in much of Europe, so it was the perfect day to visit La Alpujarra, a series of pueblos set on the southern slopes of the Sierra Nevada. I started out in Pampaneira, hiking past Bubión up to Campilera, while enjoying the contrast of colorful flowers and flags against the white houses filling each pueblo.
